Training: Vessel of Opportunity Safety

On July 7th & 8th Two classes will be held:
8am and 1pm
Apalachicola City Hall
1 Bay Avenue

You must have already submitted a contract for the Vessels of Opportunity before you pre-registered with the program in order to attend these classes. You can not attend unless you are pre-registered.


The following BP Training sessions are scheduled at the Apalachicola City Hall:

Wednesday June 16 8;00am,1;00pm 6;00pm
Thursday June 17 8;00am,1;00pm, 6;00pm

Wednesday June 23 8;00am,1;00pm, 6;00pm
Thursday June 24 8;00am, 1;00pm, 6;00pm

All participants must be pre-registered and have MOB numbers. People who are not registered will not be admitted.

We have been advised that Vicki Adams, VOO, Mobile, Al will be visiting the Gulf coast counties next week. We expect her to be in Apalachicola on Monday, June 14, but I have not yet received her itinerary.


Note - Paid Worker: individuals interested in engaging in response and recovery operations, such as operating boats to lay boom, dealing with oil in the water, on shore, or on wildlife, must go through BP’s training program and become BP’s paid workers.
